The Amara Retro Warm Ambient LED Mushroom Table Lamp is built on a shape that has never really gone away: a wide domed shade over a short stem, throwing light down onto a surface and outward onto the wall behind at the same time. It is why a mushroom lamp lights a bedside better than its size suggests, and why the silhouette keeps returning. Amara keeps the proportions generous rather than dainty, so the dome does real work.
The light is LED and warm, which is the correct choice for the job. This is a lamp for the end of the day, for reading a few pages or leaving on low while a room settles, and a cooler source would fight that entirely. The output stays efficient and the fixture runs at low heat, which matters on something designed to sit within reach on a nightstand or a desk. It is USB powered.
Two finishes are offered. Amber glow is the warmer of the pair, tinting the light as it passes through the shade and pushing a whole corner toward candlelight. Opal white is the cleaner option, diffusing the light without coloring it, and reads as the more neutral piece on a desk or in a pale room. Amara suits bedrooms, desks, lounges and reading spots, and works well as a matched pair on two sides of a bed.
