Depth is how far the bar stands off the wall, and it sets how far the light reaches over what is below it. 3.2" (8 cm) is the standard, right for most modern mirrors and slim frames. 3.9" (10 cm) suits deeper mirrors, thicker frames and canvases. 5.9" (15 cm) clears traditional frames and pushes light furthest down the wall. Output and weight are the same across all three depths.
Installation guide (about 10 minutes)
Before you start. Charge the lamp first. The remote can be pressed in transit, so a new unit often arrives with a flat battery. Plug the USB-C cable into the port on the underside of the mount and charge for at least 30 minutes before testing, and do not switch the light on while it is charging. You will need a pencil, a level and a drill or screwdriver. Nothing needs to be wired and there is no power to turn off at the panel.
- Unpack and check. Lay out the bar, the mounting plate, the screws and wall anchors, the adhesive pad, the remote and the USB-C cable on a clean flat surface. Check the bar for damage before you mount anything.
- Mark the position. Hold the bar where you want it and mark the center. Above a mirror, center the bar on the mirror and allow a few inches of clearance above the frame. Hold the mounting plate at that height, level it, and mark the two screw holes through the plate.
- Fix the mounting plate. Screws: drill at your two marks, tap in the supplied wall anchors, hold the plate over them and drive the two screws until the plate sits flat and does not rotate. Match the anchor to the wall — the supplied plugs are for drywall and plaster; tile, brick and concrete need fittings sold for that material. Adhesive: on smooth, clean, dry tile, glass or painted drywall, wipe the area with alcohol, let it dry, peel the pad and press the plate firmly for 30 seconds. Leave it an hour before hanging the bar.
- Hang the bar. Slide the bar onto the mounting plate in the direction shown in the manual until it seats, then tighten the small set screw underneath so it cannot slide off. Do not overtighten.
- Charge it. The USB-C port sits on the underside of the mount. Charge from any USB power source — a wall adapter, a laptop, a power bank. A full charge gives up to 4 hours of runtime.
- Pair and set the light. Disconnect the cable, then switch it on with the remote or by touching the sensor on the bar. Cycle the color temperature to pick 3000K warm, 4000K neutral or 6000K cool, set the brightness, and use the timer if you want it to shut itself off.
Taking it down. Loosen the set screw and slide the bar off the plate. Screwed plates leave two small holes to fill. Adhesive plates come away with slow, steady pressure or a little heat from a hairdryer.
Troubleshooting
| Nothing happens out of the box | The remote was pressed in transit and the battery has run flat. This is the most common first-use issue and it is not a fault. Charge for at least 30 minutes with the light switched off, then unplug the cable and try the remote again. |
| It will not turn on after charging | The USB-C cable is not fully seated, the power source is not delivering, or the light is still plugged in. Push the cable fully into the port under the mount, try a different adapter or port, and unplug before switching on — it will not run while charging. |
| The remote does nothing | Battery tab still in the remote, a dead remote cell, or the pairing has dropped. Pull the plastic tab from the battery compartment or fit a fresh cell, stand within range with nothing blocking the bar, and re-pair by following the pairing steps in the manual. Touch control on the bar works independently, so if touch works the bar is fine. |
| Runtime is short | Run at full brightness on the cool setting, or charged only partway. Charge to full. Four hours is the figure at a moderate brightness; running flat out on 6000K draws it down faster. Longer bars use more power at the same setting. |
| Light flickers or the color jumps | The charge is nearly gone, or a color-cycle command has been half registered. Recharge first. If it persists on a full battery, switch the light off, wait ten seconds, then switch it on and set the color temperature again. |
| The bar sags or moves | The set screw is loose, the wall anchors are not right for the wall, or the adhesive was applied to a dusty, damp or textured surface. Tighten the set screw under the mount. Re-fix with anchors matched to your wall material. Adhesive holds only on smooth, clean, dry surfaces — on anything textured, use the screws. |
| The light does not reach far enough | The depth is too shallow for the frame or mirror below it. Deep or thick frames need the 3.9" or 5.9" depth so the bar clears the frame and throws light down the face of it. |
Wipe the bar and diffuser with a soft dry cloth. No solvents or abrasive cleaners — they will mark the finish and the acrylic. Do not immerse it in water. The LED is not replaceable and the unit is not designed to be opened. Indoor use only; it is rated IP20 and should not be fitted in a shower enclosure or anywhere it will be splashed.
