Double-lined faux fur, which means fur on the face and a second layer behind it rather than a thin pelt over backing. The weight that gives it is the point: it settles over a lap instead of sliding off, and the pile is long enough to read as fur from across a room rather than as fleece.
Three sizes. The 39 by 63 inch is a lap throw for a single chair. The 51 by 63 inch covers a sofa seat or a single bed. The 63 by 79 inch works across a double bed or a wide sofa for two people. Four colors: Espresso and Shadow for darker rooms, Ivory Cream for pale neutral schemes, Rose Blush when the room can take a warmer note.
It carries through the year rather than just winter. Warm enough for evenings by a fire, light and breathable enough to take out onto a patio in spring, which is more than a wool throw manages.
