The Novara Vintage Pleated Brass Semi-Flush Ceiling Light turns a flat, forgotten ceiling into part of the room's design. Its signature pleated shade folds light rather than flattening it, casting a warm, layered glow that a plain drum or flush globe cannot produce. A solid brass body carries the shade with real weight and a soft metallic warmth, while the smooth acrylic canopy keeps the profile tidy against the plaster. It reads mid-century, but it settles just as easily into modern and transitional interiors.
Practical decisions make it easy to live with. The fixture takes a standard E26 bulb, so there is nothing proprietary to source and no sealed LED module that turns a dead light into a replaced fixture. Use warm LED, incandescent or an exposed Edison filament depending on the mood you want. Paired with a compatible dimmer switch, sold separately, it moves from bright task light over a vanity to a low, atmospheric glow at the end of an evening.
It is hardwired to a ceiling junction box, and the brass finish holds its color rather than yellowing under heat. Two diameters let the light scale to the room instead of forcing the room to accept it, the smaller for tight spaces and the larger where a ceiling needs presence.
