The Lisette Vintage Scalloped Glass Semi-Flush Ceiling Light takes a wide 15.2-inch shade and finishes its rim in a soft repeating wave, so what would otherwise be a plain dome picks up a line of light and shadow around its full circumference. Held just below the ceiling on a short stem, it suits rooms where a hanging pendant would sit too low.
Nine shade colors are offered, from milk white and clear through frosted glass to green, blue, pink, lavender, orange and yellow, each paired with a black or brass fitting. The milk and frosted finishes give the most even, diffused light and are the safest choice over a work surface. The colored glass throws a subtle wash of tone onto the ceiling above, which is a quieter effect than it sounds.
Lisette works over kitchen islands, in home offices, hallways, bedrooms and dining rooms, and holds up in both period and contemporary interiors.
