A circle is the least demanding shape you can put on a ceiling, and the Solvi Minimalist Matte LED Flush Mount Round Ceiling Light leans on that. There is no edge, no corner and no orientation to get right, so it sits comfortably in a room whatever direction you approach it from. The light is diffused across the full face of the fixture rather than escaping from a point, which is what keeps it soft to stand under and stops it throwing hard shadows across a room.

The body is aluminum and metal, and the LED is built into the fixture. Five light options are offered and they behave quite differently, so it is worth choosing deliberately. Natural White, Warm White and Cool White are fixed: the tone is set at purchase, cannot be changed afterwards, and none of the three is dimmable or supplied with a remote. Three-Color is switchable between warm, neutral and cool by cycling the wall switch, again with no remote and no dimming. Three finishes are offered. Black is the most defined against a pale ceiling and reads as a deliberate fitting. White nearly disappears, which is usually right in a bedroom or a low room where you want the light and not the object. Gold is the warmest and the most decorative, picking up brass hardware and warmer timber.
