Porcelain is an unusual material for a ceiling light, and that is precisely why Verano works. The Verano Vintage Glazed Porcelain Flush Mount Ceiling Light sets a glazed shade against a low-profile fitting, so the surface carries the faint depth and slight unevenness that only a fired glaze gives. Lit from within, the porcelain warms and softens the light rather than simply passing it through.
Three sizes are offered. The five-inch is small enough to be used in numbers, the eleven-inch handles a room on its own, and the fourteen-inch reads as a deliberate feature. Six glaze colors run from restrained black and white through to green, yellow, orange and red, so the fixture can either disappear into a ceiling or provide the single note of color in an otherwise neutral scheme.
Verano belongs in hallways, kitchens, bedrooms, landings and any room with limited ceiling height, where its shallow profile keeps headroom intact.
