The Ninfea Sculptural Layered Lotus Petal Pendant Light is shaped from white acrylic into the form of a blooming lotus, petal layered over petal, soft and quietly luminous. Light filters through the translucent white rather than escaping around a shade, which produces an even, glare-free glow with no bright point anywhere on the form. It reads as an object during the day and becomes a glowing centerpiece at night.
The petals are the reason it works. Because they overlap rather than sitting flush, the light passes through more than one layer on its way out and arrives softened, with the faint depth that a single-skin shade cannot produce. The acrylic is selected for color stability and holds its clean white finish rather than yellowing, and pairing it with an LED bulb, which runs cool, is the way to keep it that way over years.
The frame is metal with the acrylic petals fitted to it, and the hanging height is adjustable so the drop can be set to the room. Ninfea suits dining rooms, living rooms, bedrooms and entryways, and it is at its best in modern and Nordic interiors where simple forms and calm materials are doing the work. It is designed for indoor use and needs reasonable ceiling clearance, ideally eight feet or more.
