Single, Plug In. One screwdriver, about 10 minutes. Pick the spot the light should hang, then find the nearest outlet, because the cord runs from the pendant up to the ceiling, across to the wall and down to the plug. There is 177" (about 15 feet) to work with. A drill is only needed for masonry, and the screw and wall plug should suit the wall.

1. Mount the ceiling cylinder. The small metal cylinder has a keyhole slot in the back. Drive its screw into the ceiling where the pendant should hang, then slide the cylinder onto the screw head and pull down so it seats.
2. Hang the pendant and set the drop. Loop the cord over the ceiling mount and slide it through until the shade sits at the height wanted. Everything above that point becomes the run to the outlet.
3. Mount the wall cylinder and route the cord. Screw the second cylinder into the wall, roughly above the outlet. Run the cord across from the ceiling, hook it over, and let the rest fall to the plug. Keep the cord at least 3 feet away from cribs and toddler beds.
4. Fit the shade and the bulb. Lift the glass shade up over the socket, then screw the retaining ring up underneath until the shade sits firm but not tight. Screw in an E26 bulb of 40 W or less, or the LED equivalent.
5. Plug in and switch on. The plug is polarized, so it only goes in one way. Never force or modify it. Use the in-line switch on the cord to turn the lamp on.

Hardwired styles. The Single, Hardwired and both three-shade styles connect directly to ceiling wiring, so they must be installed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and all applicable local codes, on a properly mounted ceiling junction box.

1. Isolate the circuit. Switch off the supply at the breaker and confirm it is dead before touching any wire.
2. Mount the bracket. Fix the hanging board to the ceiling junction box.
3. Connect the supply. At the terminal block, connect neutral (white) to N, ground (green or bare) to the ground terminal and live (black) to L.
4. Fix the canopy. Set the drop, then secure the ceiling canopy to the hanging board with the side screws.
5. Fit the shade and the bulb. Place the glass shade over the socket and tighten it with the ring, then screw in an E26 bulb of 40 W or less. Repeat for each shade on the three-shade styles, then restore power.

Care. Switch off and let the glass cool before cleaning. Wipe the glass and metal with a soft dry cloth. No chemical solvents or abrasive cleaners, they will damage the finish.
