A scented candle is mostly wasted on its own flame. The Cera Dimmable Sculptural Flameless Candle Warmer Lamp takes a different route: it warms the wax from above with gentle heat rather than burning it, so the fragrance is released steadily and the candle is used evenly right to the edges of the jar. There is no flame, no smoke and no soot mark on the ceiling, and the candle lasts considerably longer than it would lit in the usual way.
Control is by a knob dimmer with a timer. Turning the dial does two jobs at once: it sets the brightness of the lamp and it controls how quickly the wax melts, so a candle can be warmed gently over an evening or brought up faster when you want the scent to fill a room. The timer means it can be left running without being watched. The height of the shade is adjustable, which is what lets it work across jars of different heights.
Cera suits bedrooms, living rooms, offices and reading corners, and it functions as a warm table lamp in its own right rather than only as a warmer. Although there is no open flame, the lamp does generate heat: place it on a stable, heat-tolerant surface, keep it clear of curtains and anything flammable, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
