The Safe Non-Slip Soft Loofah Shower Mat gives wet feet something to hold. Its open, springy fibres provide grip under the shower while water drains straight through to the floor, so there is no slick film on top and no pool sitting underneath. It feels soft and slightly cushioned, closer to standing on a loofah than on a hard rubber mat.
Because water passes through rather than being trapped, the mat dries quickly between showers, which helps it resist the mould and mildew that build up on conventional suction-cup mats, and the fibres carry a Microban treatment for added freshness. It also stops loose hair from washing straight into the drain. Rinse it after use and stand it to dry; it does not need scrubbing, soaking or any special cleaner to stay fresh.
It comes in four sizes from a compact 16 by 24 inch to an extra large 31 by 47 inch that covers a wet room floor, and it can be trimmed with scissors to fit around a drain or an awkward corner. Grey, Yellow and White are available. It is a sensible upgrade for households with older adults or children, though young children should always be supervised in the shower or bath.
