A sconce with a story built into it. The Sirena Vintage Patinated Sculptural Wall Sconce cradles a glass orb in a resin and metal base, hand-finished so the surface carries the small irregularities of a cast piece rather than the flatness of a stamped one. At just under six inches wide and ten inches high, it holds its own on a wall without needing much of it.
The base comes in aged black or antique gold, and the orb in clear or opal white. Clear glass keeps the bulb visible and the light sharper, which flatters a filament lamp; white glass diffuses the same bulb into something softer and easier to sit beside. A single E26 socket takes LED, incandescent or fluorescent bulbs, so brightness and warmth are entirely yours to set.
Sirena belongs in bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and reading corners, and works especially well in schemes leaning rustic, coastal or vintage. Fit a pair across a headboard for symmetry, or a single unit beside a mirror or an armchair. The cast base means no two pieces are quite identical, which is the point rather than a flaw.
